Definitions of membership status and involvement.

Honorary Member.
An Honorary Member is a special Honour awarded to individuals who have contributed to the association or the songwriting industry directly or indirectly. The membership is for life on the provision that the member continues to support the association. There are no fees payable for membership and has the permission to have Hm.A.S.A.M printed as credentials of status after their name. This award is discretionary and also can be awarded by multiple nomination.

Fellow Member
A fellow Member is awarded when an individual has had significant recognition for their efforts in respect for a number one hit song they have written themselves. Musical directors are also recognised in this category as are individuals with a Masters or Doctor Qualification.They will be expected to contribute to the associations newsletters if available and promote The Association whenever possible
There is an annual fee payable and has the permission to to have Fm.A.S.A.M printed as credentials of status after their name.

Senior Associate
A Senior associate status is awarded when an individual has had recognition for their efforts in respect of a Degree in music or a top forty hit song they have written themselves. They will be expected to contribute to The Associations newsletter when available and promote The Association whenever possible.
There is an annual fee payable and has the permission to have Sa.A.S.A.M. printed as credentials of status after their name.

Musical Associate
A musical associate status is awarded when an individual has had recognition for their efforts in respect of a Diploma qualification or for a top one hundred hit song they have written themselves. There is an annual fee payable and has the permission to have Ma.A.S.A.M. printed as credentials of status after their name.

Affiliate

Affiliate status is awarded to individuals who would benefit from membership and progress to higher levels of competence through personal development, or advice through the association. There is an annual fee payable and has the permission to have Am.A.S.A.M. printed as credentials of status after their name.
